Absence

Students who have been sick (or more than 5 days should bring a Medical Certificate from their doctor on re-joining the school.
No one who has been absent on the previous day will be admitted to the class without a letter from the parents, addressed to the Class Teacher, stating the reason for the absence.
Students suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class. They should submit a Medical Fitness Certificate on return to school.

Chickenpox               Till all leisions are crusted
Measles               For 2 days after rash disappears
Mumps               For 9 days after swelling
Whooping Cough               For 7 days after effective antibiotic therapy
Jaundice               Till full recovery, duly certified by the physician
Conjunctivitis               For 7 days after effective therepy

Reported absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than five consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls. Re- admission maybe granted only on payment of a fresh admission fee rolls.
It is compulsory for all the students to maintain 90% attendance during the course of the academic session to enable them to appear for the Annual Examination. The percentage, however, could be relaxed on medical grounds, but such students will not be eligible for Acadcmic Awards.
Students who do not take all their Cycle Tests and 1erm Exams will not be allowed to appear in the Annual Examination.
Parents should fill up the "Record for Non-Attendance" stating the reason for absence during any examination.
All the students are expected to attend school on the opening day after each vacation. Those absent on account of illness must produce Medical Certificate to the Class Teacher.
