“With courage in our veins and dreams in our sight,
We salute the freedom that makes our souls take flight.”
With hearts brimming with pride and gratitude, Vardhman Academy, Radha Garden, Meerut joyously celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India. The celebrations began with grace and tradition as our esteemed guests were welcomed with a ceremonial tilak and presented with a tricolour rosette, a symbol of unity and patriotism.
Thereafter, we paid deep respect to Bharat Mata, invoking reverence for our motherland. This was followed by the unfurling of the national flag and the soul-stirring rendition of the National Anthem, uniting us in collective pride and solemnity.
The ambiance turned festive with a welcome dance, radiating warmth and hospitality. Young voices then took center stage, as Nishtha of Class 5 beautifully recited a poem on Independence Day, capturing the essence of freedom through innocence.
Next, Trisha of Class 11 mesmerized us with a classical solo performance of “Vande Mataram,” echoing devotion and patriotism.
We then honoured our scholar achievers—the toppers of Classes 10 and 12—as well as our recent sports champions, acknowledging their dedication and excellence.
Our gathering was further enriched by an inspiring address from Secretary Sir, who reminded us of the struggles that led to independence, the value of our hard-won freedom, and the responsibility we carry to preserve it.
The mood lifted as a parody of dance performances filled the air with vibrant tricolours and bursts of patriotic energy—fun, joyful, and full of pride.
Finally, our respected Principal Ma’am, Ms. Rekha Sharma addressed the audience, extending heartfelt thanks to our esteemed guests and reminding students how education played a pivotal role in India’s journey to independence—empowering generations to dream, learn, and lead.
Let us carry forward the legacy of those who fought for freedom and hold fast to the ideals that bind us.
