Dussehra, a joyous and vibrant Indian festival was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in our school on 21st October,2023. The morning assembly ground and stage decoration transformed the whole atmosphere of the school.
The program begins with the lamp lightning and garlanding of Maa Saraswati and Shri Ram and seeking their blessings. The students perform different enactments of Ramayana- Ram Van gaman, Shabari's meeting with Shri Ram, Baali vadh, Ram Setu, Ravan Vadh.
After this a colorful and beautiful dance performance was done by girls of the junior wing.
Later Mr. Gaurav Kumar (HOD Hindi Department) told everyone about the origin of Ramayana and about the central message of the Ramayana which revolves around the triumph of virtue, righteousness, and dharma over evil and injustice.
After that our respected Principal ma'am said some words of wisdom that ramayana is not just a story, but also an educational medium to demonstrate the importance of values such as loving and respecting your family, keeping your promises, protecting the weak and so on.
The program ended by setting ablaze the effigy of Ravana by Shri Ram.
This festival serves as a reminder of the eternal struggle between right and wrong and the eventual triumph of righteousness. It inspires students to uphold moral values and principles, reinforcing the significance of good deeds and truth in one's life.
